This was a fun one! We actually took the MIDDLE of Gopal and Shibani’s house away and they lived (at both ends very patiently) while we added the second floor onto it. The best part was all the very good choices they made with the add-on’s, This family ended up with the classiest home of the year and were also awarded the nicest people I have worked with in a very long time. Congratulations on a job well done. The outcome was spectacular.

We started out by putting double the foundation they previously had and by adding sheer to meet the current codes. This is one strong house, and a great example of “how it should be done”. Atlas Remodeling Inc of San Jose brought me the referral and handled all of the subs. (I don’t think any of us knew what we were getting into). But it was well worth the effort as these pictures can clearly show. Note all the vaulted ceilings, great floors and wonderful trim and hardware. Also see the cool marble slabs that were used in all three bathrooms. We still use “Marble Elegance Inc” on all of our jobs, and a lot of talent obviously went into this project. Thanks to everyone who was involved, especially to Rich Torkelson the Contractor/Owner with Atlas Remodeling Inc without whom this job would have ever turned out so well.

Dana and Cheryl in San Jose CA had us add two new bathrooms, a new master bedroom suite and a small office onto their house in 2004. Theirs is a good example of getting it the way you want. The job went smoothly and stayed on budget. We also upgraded other parts of the home as well. Send in some more pictures guys. I will post them for you if you like.

The funniest thing I have heard in a long time was Dana’s “my house looks like it went on steroids” comment upon returning from a three week cross the country vacation.
This was an enjoyable project coupled with clients who knew what they wanted to have.
Being prepared and having a plan sure does go along ways.

My thanks to both Cheryl and Dana for letting us use these pictures on the website.

Dave the postman in Evergreen, San Jose needed more room. So an excellent architect with Atlas Remodeling Inc designed this simple addition in 2004. We gave Dave more footage in his living room, dining room and built a use full kitchen into this space. I acted as both the subcontractor for the framing with Atlas and also as the Interior General Contractor for this job. We designed both the kitchen and the final finishes.
Suiting our clients needs is one of our major goals.

Send us some more pictures Dave. The house looks great!

Brother Kurt’s project is shown here in all its varying stages. Work was started in late 2002 and he still continues on remodel of the interior and older portion of the home to this day. Everyone needs a project huh? Keep it up dude.

Kurt and Mike both did a great job making that old nothing house into something they are both proud of today. I just read the plans, built the structure (through sheetrock finish) and tried to save them about 200 thousand dollars which is what a good brother should do.

My entire family is responsible for my decision to return to CA that year. It is something that for which I will always be grateful. I almost left without starting RNR or hooking up with Rosanne again and had it not been for them I might not ever have come here at all. My many thanks for the support go out to everyone. I could not have done it without you.
